OQ is VEON's digital-first mobile operator in Uzbekistan — launched by Beeline Uzbekistan as a brand with no physical offices: everything happens in the app. OQ's team built the product; we provided the identity layer — MyID liveness, document OCR, anti-spoof — that lets a subscriber clear regulated KYC entirely in-app. First time in Uzbekistan's mobile market that the KYC step is fully remote.

Opening a Tenge Bank account, fully remote and compliant.

Tenge Bank required a digital account-opening flow that meets central-bank KYC rules and works on consumer phones — without forcing customers into branches. Tenge's team built the banking journey; we provided the identity layer — liveness, face match, document OCR — that handles the regulated KYC step inside the app.

How does contracting and IP ownership work?
Mutual NDA before any specifics. Engagement runs under a work-for-hire MSA: all code and IP belong to you, in your repositories, on your infrastructure. Invoicing happens via our international entity in USD or EUR, monthly. We've passed EU FinTech and government procurement reviews.
How do you handle data security and certifications?
We sign a DPA before any personal data touches our side, deploy to your cloud in the region you require (AWS / GCP / Azure), and use role-based access, encrypted communications, and audit trails. On the biometric side, MyID's liveness layer is independently certified by iBeta to ISO 30107-3 PAD Level 1. We are not yet ISO 27001 or SOC 2 certified — those are on the roadmap; we'd rather tell you that upfront than imply otherwise.
What about time zones — can you really work with EU and US teams?
Tashkent is UTC+5 — that's 4–6 hours of daily overlap with CET (roughly 8:00–14:00 CET). For US East, overlap is 2–3 hours in the morning ET; with West Coast we work async-first. Async discipline is part of our process, not an afterthought.
What is the team's English level, really?
Working professional, written and spoken. All client communication — standups, code reviews, documentation, written specs — happens in English. Many seniors have international project experience or graduate education abroad. Happy to put any candidate on a 30-minute call before you commit.
What's the minimum engagement and how does pricing work?
Dedicated team: 3-month minimum, monthly retainer, 2-week notice on both sides. Fixed-scope: 4–12 weeks, priced per deliverable. Advisory: 2-month minimum, ~1 day/week. Clear proposal with line-item pricing within 48 hours of the discovery call.
Can we start with one engineer to test the waters?
Yes — but we'll usually suggest two: an engineer plus a part-time tech lead. A solo engineer with no second pair of eyes is a fragile setup; the marginal cost of a fractional lead is small compared to the risk it removes.
What if it doesn't work out?
Two weeks' notice, no penalty. We don't lock you in. Every active engagement has a 30-day check-in built in for exactly this reason.
